A Trip to the Apple Orchard and Pumpkin Patch

We had one last cook-out this weekend with Adam’s family. We all took a trip to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch to commemorate the start of fall and having the two grandkids together.

All week long it was in the 60s, and felt very fall-like. However, it was in the 80s the day that we went to the orchard. There wasn’t any breeze among the apple trees or out in the pumpkin patch. We weren’t there very long, but we were all hot messes by the time we left.

That isn’t to say that we didn’t have any fun! We picked out some apples and the perfect Henry-sized pumpkin.

We also got some fun family pictures and pictures of Henry and Elliot together. It was quite the challenge to capture them both sitting semi-upright! Ahh, the joys of photographing infants…

Once we got home, Kathi, Adam, and I worked together to make two homemade apple pies. Tom made chicken on the flip-flop grill to go with baked potatoes and salad.
